Come along to Bodmin General Station over the weekend of 19-20 June 2010 to experience a superb display of rail and road transport from yesteryear, including steam and heritage diesel locomotives, full size and miniature traction engines, cars, commercial vehicles on display.

There will also be a fairground with helter skelter, working steam-powered demonstrations, rides on a miniature railway, a regular timetable of ‘full-sized’ trains on the Bodmin & Wenford Railway……and a whole lot more to keep all members of the family thoroughly entertained.

SATURDAY EVENING STEAM BEER & JAZZ SPECIAL

Enjoy the sound of jazz music whilst supping a pint of real ale, with the sight and smell of a steam engine. Band plays on the platform from 6pm, train departs at 7pm. All-inclusive ticket - includes train ride and a Fish/Sausage & Chip Supper. Fare: Adult £21.50, Child £10, Family £55.

BRAKE VAN RIDES

Our two smallest Alfred and Judy—which were the inspiration for Rev W Awdry to create the characters Bill and Ben in the original Thomas the Tank Engine books— will be giving brake van rides at Bodmin General Station from 10am-3.30pm (FREE—included as part of your ticket)

 


CAR PARKING: Please note that our car park at Bodmin General Station will be closed throughout the event. Car parking will be available at Victoria Square car park, approximately quarter of a mile from the station. A further car park at Priory Park near the centre of Bodmin is approximately half a mile from the station.

ALL DAY ROVER TICKET
 Adult £15, Senior Citizen £14, Child £8, Family £40
The ‘come and go as you please’ ticket! Gives you complete freedom to travel over the whole line and view all the exhibits and experience the rides as often as you wish during the course of the day. Does NOT include the Saturday evening Steam Beer & Jazz train.

ONE TRIP TICKET
Adult £13.50, Senior Citizen £12.50, Child £7, Family £36
Gives you one 13-mile trip over the whole line, and view all the exhibits and experience the rides as often as you wish during the course of the day. Does NOT include the Steam Beer & Jazz train.

EVENT ONLY TICKET
Adult £5, Senior Citizen £4, Child £3, Family £15
A chance to view all the exhibits and experience the rides as often as you wish during the day, but does NOT include any train travel on the Bodmin & Wenford Railway
